College test

There are different emotions or symptoms that I have developed through the years before a test, one of them is anxiety. It happen to me every night before the test, I start to imagine how many pages and question the test will have if the professor will include every single detail of the chapters. Since I have this problem I have been doing researches on how to fix it. I read in an article that exercise and good sleep will help to overcome anxiety so before a test I walk for five minutes and try to eat a chocolate bar. I know that my anxiety is a problem but I am trying to control my emotions so I can be more relax for my next test.

Stem cell fertility treatment

  I read in the news that scientist from Harvard are trying to challenge the belief that woman are born with a limited amount of eggs. They did a study with mice where they noticed that a young egg is capable of producing new ones. This will be good news for women that suffer from infertility or have been treated with chemotherapy; however, is this news a good discovery for the human race or are we going to start overpopulating the world more than it already is? I will say that we will have to wait a few more years to see what happen and hopefully it is going to be regulated.

                                                Health insurance

     Health insurance is a big problem in United State because the amount of Americans without insurance is increasing every day. It is almost impossible for a person to afford a medical insurance because of his price. One example is where I work, the insurance is free for the employee but if I want to add a family member I would have to pay almost a thirty percent of my salary. Although some people have health insurance when they come to the office they are not able to afford the copayment, despite that a cash office visit cost forty dollars that is what they have to pay for their copayment.

  This problem is affecting the economy because people without insurance are going to the emergency room where they cannot afford to pay the bills. In addition Medical and Medicare program are out control because is not regulated and some people are taking advance of the system. Also there is not fund to invest in these programs.

 There is a need of change in the health care system so it can be affordable for everybody.

Chapter 1 HW

   I always have a problem when I try to express my opinions in writing. One reason is because English is my second language and I write the same way that I speak. Also English root is different that my original language. every day I have to write a chart notes as part of my jo and at  work we document information in the patients chart that need to be clear and specific, it cannot be any misconception because of liability and most of the time my documentation are confusing. Writing is my challenge is difficult for me to find the right words, put them together and developed coherent sentences. Also my vocabulary in English is not reach enough and medical vocabulary is another language so I have double of the problem. It is hard when I read other peoples paper and I see how great their ideas are develop and how much they can write about a single comment, and there is me thinking how they do it and why I cannot do it. In addition my insecurity block my idea and does not let me developed a good paragraph. I like challenges and writing is the biggest one sometime I would like to change my major and become a writer but seems beyond to achieve. However every day I try to do better I read a book and now my English class is helping because I have to write in my blog every day.

Smart glasses

Google a new project is coming up they are working in creating a ‘smart glasses’, they would look some how like Oakley thump glasses. It will have a camera that will record everything that the person is looking at and will find related information about what has been observed. According to the New York time this will be available by the end of the year and the prices will range from $250 to $600 dollars.

Biofilms

Biofilms are bacterias that we found in our teeth.they are the cause of cavity an others oral diseases. We can also find them on rocks, in rivers and stream; and they can cause disease, clog drains or aid in hazardous waste cleanup. This small bacteria get his energy from sugar. They got the energy and they release and acid that is the cause of cavity.So now you know that every time that you are eating sugar you are feeding this bacterias.

Rain

I do not like when it rains while I am working. It is not only the humidity if also the traffic. People do not know how to drive when it is raining, there are always accident and most of the time I run late to school....

Laundry day

During the week I can't wait for the weekend to star; however I know that on Saturday I have to do laundry and it's not my favorite chores to do. The laundry room is in the opposite side of the building and I live in the second floor. I don't like the fact that I have to state in the room until the cycles are over if I leave I always miss the cycle to put rinse on my clothes, I can wait for the day that I can recycle my clothes and i do not have to do laundry anymore.

Mia

My three years old daughter Loves to go to school. Every morning when the alarm goes on she comes to my room and wake me up. Last tuesday I felt so tired that I did not want go to work and I told her that I would not take her to school and she told me, I am sorry mom but I have to go to school every day.

Allergy

I have being working with an allergist for almost eight years; the majority of our patients used to be adults; however the past two years the number of children seen at the clinic have being increasing. I notice that now children at the age of eighteen months have allergy problems. What is causing this? Dr. Mahdavie always says that is the environment where they live, here in Simi valley the weather is windy and dry, that maybe one of the causes another could be the contamination in California is getting worse every year. We need to be conscious about it because what is going to happen in five more years,probably there will be an increase of patient being diagnosed with asthma or COPD(chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and this problem will be affecting our children.

My firs day of class.

  Yesterday was an interesting day. It was my firs day of my English 101 class, but there were seventy two students that wanted to add to this class. I was one of the lucky one that got in to this class early.I had a mix feelings when I saw all those people that one to get a better education probably expecting a better future; however the opportunity is not given. How the economy is going to improve,  if  it is not enough classes available to form professionals for the future of this country.
